PROJECT NATURE

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is enriched with natural resources and human resource talent especially referring to its progressing youth. After the 18th amendment in the constitution, the government of KP went on to develop a Youth Policy through the consultation of the major stakeholders including the youth itself from different districts of the province. Bargad Organization for Youth Development through donors including United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and Heirinch Boll Stiftung (HBS) collaborated with the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to enable effective Youth Policy development for the province.

 

Through a prolonged and comprehensive consultation of various stakeholders including the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the first ever Youth Policy formulation was finalized with final approval from the provincial government. The KP Youth Policy document is built upon three main pillars of empowerment – economic, social and Political – grouped further into various sub-categories, in which youth development through the capacity building is the most highlighted category.

 

The task of KP Youth Policy launching was handed over to Liaison Corporation to ensure maximum outreach to all the relevant stakeholders including the government officials, diversified youth of KP, Civil Society, and media regarding the launch of the Policy and its constitution.

The launching ceremony was organized at historical Nishtar Hall, Peshawar on November 28, 2016

The event was witnessed by more than 600 people including youth, government officials, civil society members, and media personnel.

 

PURPOSE/OBJECTIVES

In the first step of pre-event planning, the objectives were to provide core services to Bargad Organization for Youth Development for launching ceremony of “Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Youth Policy, 2016”. To mobilize youth, relevant government stakeholders, development sector, media and general communities of KP for the youth development initiatives.
